For some reason I am following you on twitter ;-) and saw your recent post.

I started seriously using YouVersion this year. My wife and I are going through the Chronological study and loving it. Just want to encourage you to continue to press through.

I too, enjoy web-design and see you using Elegant Themes. I sure you bounced around the premium theme jungle.

Great post. Keep going with all the life and ministry craziness.:)

Hey everybody, this PROVES that my mom reads my blog! AND she left a comment. I guess this shows what a great teacher I am if she can do this all on her own right ;). Thanks for commenting mom, and I'm going to say you're absolutely right (and not just because you're my mom... hehe)

Hey:am enjoying your what matters. You are right on about family. I always found that a one on one with each child did wonders. They shared more that way. Whether it be a walk, hot chocolate, something they chose to do, keep up with whats going on at school and if there is anything they would like you to attend be sure to try as that matters...be sure and find out what are their favourite music, things to do, places they would like to visit e.g. museums or art gallery, even within your own city, there may be places to go. I know as they are all different ages that their interest change and with one on one you are able to target their specific needs. You are aware of this importance so great job, the hardest thing is implementing it,right? Just don't forget their Mom needs one on one to sometimes. The growing and formative years are the hardest, but what a reward when they are grown and found wonderful spouses and have great careers, how blessed you feel, we all do the best we can and that's all we can do. I think you are WONDERFUL but then I am biased.
LOVE YA ps let me know your thoughts on my thoughts

Well, I read this on January 11th, and here it is the 18th, so I've lurked for 7 days on this post. All I can say is, "Great post."

Actually, I think my most frequent response to a post is either "I agree, and don't really have anything more to add to what was said," or "I disagree, and I can't be bothered to explain why." It's time management.

Now I'll go back to my lurking.

Darren, you made a killer point here!! I wonder how many times God hears a prayer and says, "Yes John, I've already answered that one, but it needs you to do something." I think the word to describe praying without doing is...lazyiness. We want God to do what we are not willing to work at ourselves. Interesting thoughts you triggered. Thanks!

Darren,
I like to comment, but I think the time thing rings true for me too. I tend to only comment when I have something that I think is really valuable to contribute. (Hopefully this comment won't be judged in that light...I'm stepping out on a limb).

I do enjoy reading your posts.
