We are using archive.php in our template to show the categories, tags, series, etc. Using if statements, we have modified it so that the category name and description is displayed at the top of the list of posts in that category:

Example: http://energymattersmag.com/category/featured

We would like to do the same thing with series:

URL: http://energymattersmag.com/series/energy-conservation-tips

How would we do that? I have not found anything obvious that allow us to do that.

Thanks.

Feel free to post your request here. If I can't help with it then maybe some other user of Organize Series will. If it's a big request another option is to hire me -> if you are interesting in inquiring along those lines let me know via my blog contact form.

WisTex on "Widget Version of Display list of series on post pages"

Can we have a widget for Display list of series on post pages? The template I am using does not play well with your autoinserted code. I've been trying to figure out how to use the template tags, but I cannot find any example code. The functions you wrote are well documented, but I am not a programmer. I can take example code and cut and paste and make simple changes, but digging through your code to figure out what parameters need to be passed, and the proper syntax that needs to be used, and whether it needs another function needs to be called before you call that one.... it makes my head hurt.

So sample code I can insert into a template, and/or a widget would be awesome.

Thank you.

Can we get some examples of how to use template tags? I see the functions, and I see the directions but I see no actual example code I can paste into my template. Are there any examples of code I need to put in the template? Nothing I have pasted seems to work.

I am trying to manually add the template tags to the template because otherwise the images in the post wrap around the series information and the series information wraps around the widget area in the template. I would like the series information to appear ABOVE the widget, not next to it, and have the text wrap around both.

Thanks.

Hi,

I've recently started using Organize Series, and I'm totally impressed with it.

There's something I'm trying to do that I can't figure out, though. I'd like to have to the Series Post List that displays when a post in a series is viewed on a page by itself also display when the post in viewed on a page containing other posts (e.g, an archive page). I'm not a PHP or WordPress expert, but, looking through the series-template-tags.php file, I think what I want is the get_series_posts template tag.

I've tried inserting it in the loop in the archive.php template and the index.php template, and don't get any error, but don't get the Series Post List either. It looks as though the function wants to be passed the $ser_ID argument, but gets the series information from the current post itself if no value is passed for $ser_ID. Is this the right template tag to use, and is there something I can do to make the Series Post List always display?

Thanks for your great work on the plug-in and for any info you can give me.
