Announcing new site/blog launches…

Just a quick shout out about two new sites I’ve recently designed/published to the net. HPCOnline, which is the website for Hanover Pentecostal Church (the church I pastor). Using a much modified/hacked up (via custom plug-ins) wordpress core and the “fresh” theme, I redesigned HPCOnline from the old phpNuke version into a much more user-friendly and eye-appealing destination. From an administration standpoint it is much easier to work with too. In a short while I’ll be posting a series of articles dealing with the challenges (and benefits!) of using (converting to) WordPress as a CMS and I’ll also probably release a few of the plug-ins I created in the process.

The other site I launched (just in the last few days) is the new home for my family blog. Called “The Ethier6Buzz” it was created specifically for being a hub of information regarding my four kids, my wife, and I on our adventures as a family. Of course it will be a more personal blog and will probably only have relevance to a select group of people who know us. It’s value to me will be that I (and my family! I’ll get them blogging yet ;)) have a place to keep a record of significant moments in our lives and a way to keep our extended family/friends up to date with what’s happening in our lives. With the launch of “the Ethier6Buzz” I’ll also be able to limit some of the family posts I make here and focus more on the “unfolding neurons” part of my life 😉

Oh, as a sidenote – I’m going to be getting rid of the online album I have here once I get the family album going on the Ethier6Buzz blog. I’ll probably throw up a Flickr feed here somewhere when I get a chance.

Needless to say, I’ve been so busy the last weeks designing the church blog that I haven’t had a chance to really write much content here. Something that I hope to remedy over the next few days now that the major stuff is out of the way!
