With the successful transfer of ownership of Organize Series, and less time to manage my Digital Ocean droplet for my blog, I decided to transfer hosting of unfoldingneurons.com to WordPress.com. Besides removing the need for me to maintain a server, this also allows me to experience the best work my colleagues do and experience all the latest that happens here.
As a bonus, the migration from self-hosted to WordPress.com (via Jetpack) went really nicely (and I completed the entire transfer in about an hour).
The only downside is it looks like I lost all the likes on old posts and lost the followers from my previous Jetpack connection. I didn’t have a lot of followers though so not a big deal – if the content ends up being useful enough that might pick back up.
Heya, colleague! I happened to stumble upon your post and have some good news:
You can get our Jetpack Happiness Engineers to merge your old stats, follows and likes to your new “ID”. I’m not sure why it happened to you, but it’s very likely they’ll be able to help you 😀
